Iranian doc 'Starless Dreams' released in France

Award-winning director Mehrdad Oskouei’s documentary ‘Starless Dreams’ goes into release in France.

The internationally acclaimed Iranian doc started its public screenings in French cinemas as of Wednesday, September 20.

A report said the documentary also received rave reviews from French media following the previews of the film in the European country.  

This comes as the doc was previously released in the US, Canada, the UK and Switzerland.

‘Starless Dreams’ tells the story of girls under the age of 18 who are under the supervision of a rehabilitation center in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The documentary was featured at the 34th Fajr Film Festival in Iran and the 66th Berlin International Film Festival in Germany.

‘Starless Dreams’ has grabbed a number of prestigious awards and titles from various film events around the world.

Oskouei was awarded the True Vision Award from the True/False Film Fest in the US state of Missouri.
